Crossroads Lutheran congregation is located in the community of Dawson MN, Lac qui Parle county with a population of roughly 1500 people just 20 miles west of Montevideo MN on Highway 212.

Crossroads was formed in 2010 by a group of people from various local churches wanting a more biblically-based church in the Lutheran tradition.

Crossroads believes it exists to incarnate for the community what biblical humanity looks like through life-giving relationships, families and marriages across the generations.

Crossroads has recently adopted a new Vision Statement: “Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” and a new Mission Statement: “Partnering with God to grow and strengthen His family.”

Crossroads is an emerging congregation seeking a pastoral leader who can equip and catalyze an already Kingdom-minded body for outreach into the needs of the community and the region.

Crossroads is in the process of raising funds for a Youth/Worship position to work alongside the new Lead Pastor.

Crossroads has recently run the Alpha course and has been developing an active Prayer Ministry as well as an every other Friday evening Worship and Prayer Night,

Crossroads is growing in prayer and desires all ministry to be rooted in prayer.

Crossroads is presently part of establishing a Fellowship of Christian Athletes huddle along with other church leaders in the Dawson/Boyd schools.

Crossroads is financially healthy with a modern and debt-free multi-use facility including a newly renovated commercial style kitchen.

Crossroads is a unified congregation that genuinely enjoys being and doing things together. We also have a higher than average male attendance with a growing and active men’s group called “MAC” (Men at Crossroads). The women have a strong “Women of the Word” group as well.

With the interim work that has been done over the past year, Crossroads is a clearly redefined and repositioned Kingdom church in the Lutheran tradition awaiting a catalytic and Holy Spirit directed pastoral leader to move them into the future.

Crossroads Lutheran Church in Dawson, MN is looking for a biblically-based and Holy Spirit-motivated pastoral leader that can equip, model and lead our people into meaningful Kingdom transformation within our community and region!
Profile
Applicants must have demonstrated skills in leading things that have affected positive change or transformation in the past.
This person needs to believe deeply in the transformational power of the Good News of Jesus Christ, both in their life and others.
This person must also be able to communicate and motivate people effectively to join in the growth of the Kingdom through the church, in their communities, at their jobs, in their families, and around the world!
This person must understand and be able to speak to current societal issues with wisdom and hope; holding tightly to biblical truth, yet embracing the mess that degenerating culture is creating in the hopes of rescuing and transforming lives.
This person needs to envision themself as a “sent one” from the church leading groups of “sent ones” out into everyday life with the hope of the Good News of life in Jesus Christ!
This person needs to be able to mediate and live well between historical Christianity and modern society in a way that leads to transformation of lives. The pulls from both sides are seismic, but need to be balanced to facilitate the atmosphere of transformation and a welcoming community.
